Another 3 hours on the motor ways to reach this town.
We were booked in to a converted mansion.
It was a bit more expensive than our previous stays but at this price I was still expecting eccentric plumbing and run down rooms.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the Hallmark Hotel.
The room they showed us to was up a lot of stairs - very difficult for Linda - and they very kindly reallocated us to another room on the ground floor, an upgrade in fact.
Despite my imaginings - the rooms were in very good condition. The lounge, dining room and bar were very impressive.
We enjoyed a very pleasant meal with subdued background music and very attentive service.
The hotel is set in extensive grounds with woods, a golf course and sauna.
