On Saturday I prepared the top and bottom plates of the next column and cut the raw 75 mm SHS to length.
I drilled out the bolt holes on the top plate and tack welded the top and bottom plates.
Sunday
I was up very early and out to site to check that the tack welded column would fit.
Then the rest of the day was spent on cutting up more 75 mm plate and welding it on to the column.
Monday
During work breaks I drilled and assembled the T pieces to make up the bottom fixing sled for the column.
Tuesday
At the end of the day I visited site with the completed column and sled pieces.
I drilled the purlins to accept the sled, bolted it in, placed the column and marked up the relative positions of the column and the sled
