2015-Sep-12 - Wooroloo - Loft Floor Joists #6
Based on the weather forecast I deferred any work on site until Sunday.

Saturday was a miserable wet day without relief.

We went to the cinema to see "Ricki and the Flash" (quite good), ate at the food hall, came home, fell asleep in front of the televison.

Sunday

I was up bright and early (5.00 am) and out on site by 6.30.

I spent the entire day setting up a template for the steel work for the cantilevered bathroom over the stairwell.

This was a slow process, with much head scratching and many design decisions to be made.

The placement of cleats for purlins is especially tricky.

At the end of the day I brought home the templates and a supply of PFC150 steel.

Wednesday

The steel has been sitting on the back of the utility for the last three days.

I finally brought it in to the work area and set it up on carpentry horses. Much work to be done.

I also visited Midalia Steel and Rudds in Midvale to purchase steel for cleats and fishplates and high tensile bolts to fasten it all together
