2005-Aug-27 - Wooroloo - Last session on the well

Thankfully - this was the last session fixing up the earth around the well.
After peeling back the top soil to reach the white clay to pack around the well - I ended up with a big water filled hole in the bog.
Took 4 visits, wheeling the dug out soil from the drainage trench to fill it in.
Notice the bright orange water leaking out of the RHS corner of the well in to the bog - this confirms that to some extent the bog is being fed by the spring - though I notice it is always a lot wetter after a heavy downpour - so a large proportion is also just coming from surface water
If I pump it out it stays fairly dry until the next downpour.
