I headed off to site and installed the last two bays and planks.

At the end I was working in the dark (7.30 pm).

I stayed overnight and was back in to work at 6.30 am the next morning.

The first job was to replace one of the 3 metre uprights with a 4 m pipe so that a short length of safety rail could be attached at the top.

Next I installed a timber diagonal to stop the structure rocking and then some diagonal braces in the gas bottle area.

Finally, I installed a safety hand rail up above.

I needed to leave at 11.30 am as I had promised to be home by morning.

Next week I still need to install the kick board.
