We left at 7.00 am and were home by 7.00 pm.
Dalia and Gianluca did a lot of really useful work painting last week's steel cleaning with rust converter and then Mission Brown Kill Rust.
After that they painted all the short columns with a black waterproof membrane.
Next I had them remove the wooden bridge - this was a lot of work in the heat of the day.
Last thing, near the end of the day, after a downpour of rain and a thunderstorm, I had them washing down purlins.
So many thanks for some really helpful work.
I don't know what I did with the day.
I inserted another purlin at the other end of the 8m beam and then two more at either end of the U beam (plus more flashing).
Somehow this took all day - I really am going to have to find a way to speed this up as I have 160 purlins to install all up.
I had almost finalised the welds from the 8m beam on to its columns but a heavy downpour made me abandon this until next week.
The beam is straight to within 3 mm and I think I can improve this next week.
