I took it very easy today - just 9.00am to 4.00 pm.
I completed the second bevel.
This time I had much more luck with the metal cutting.
I had decided that I wanted to use my 5inch angle grinder rather than the scary 9 inch machine.
I dropped in to the hardware for more cutting disks.
They recommended that I use the ultra thin disks.
I also remembered that before I had more success when I used a piece of steel as a straight edge guide.
With the combination of a straight edge and the thin disks I had much more control over the cutting process and ended up with the correct insertion steel (see mistake made last week).
Welding took a lot of time again.
The welds are a little bit ugly in a few places but very strong.
