I was out to site at 7.15 am
My objective was to cut bevels on 3 pieces of PFC, having gained experience on the piece I took home over Christmas.
By midday it was very hot. I had promised to drop Wwoofers Paul and Leslie off at Midland railway station in the middle of the day. So, having completed two out of three pieces, I headed home.
I was out again on Sunday morning with the intention to complete the third piece.
I realised that if I moved an 8 metre length all the way across the front verge, then the following weekend I would be able to work in some shade while cutting the last bevel.
Also this would remove the obstruction to me sliding the 15 metre piece down on to its columns.
After a bit of trial and error I found that short lengths of 100 mm sewer pipe are very strong and suitable for use as rollers.
