I started to strip off the masking tape but quickly realised that I was making a real mess of it - lots of little paint fragments remaining on the glass.
Fortunately I asked Kaj to take over and he used a knife blade to break the bond between the paint and the masking tape.
After about an hour of careful work we had a very attractive, clean looking back door
