Nipped in to the site at 7.00 am on a Wednesday morning. Because the days are so hot at the moment I thought I would take advantage of any early mornings that I could afford away from my office.
I stripped out all the stud framing around the stairwell, a few longitudinal timbers and the main window. I did this in a rather gingerly fashion - carefully removed all the retaining timbers around the window, tied the top of the frame to a timber, popped the bottom out on to a pair of boxes standing on end, undid the rope and lowered the window to the floor.
Then I loaded all the pine planks from the internal partitioning in to the back of the utility to take to the local "Sharing Centre"
