I don't know how many times I've repeated this process so far - every time something new has to be done - it all has to be string lined, and all traces of the last attempt have been obliterated.
Usually involves going back to first principles (the surveyors pegs), working off absolute front and back lines, measuring in from the side datum point, running centre lines and much more - a whole day can go on this process.
In this case we wanted to mark out where the notch goes for the water tank - in preparation for Ian Chalmers to come along.
