Today I locked in the positions of the second last flight of steps and then added additional cross pieces to prevent rotation.
This took me all day for some reason - I guess there is a fair bit to it and also I need to go out the front door and walk down the side of the house to perform any timber cutting.
Also I reinforced the stringers at the top end where there is a chance of the timbers splitting down the grain in those areas with reduced "meat".
