Peter G was out on site on Wednesday to properly install the front door.
I have had it wedged in place for the last year waiting for Peter to recover from a nasty broken leg.
He did an amazing job.
The door frame is quite bowed and twisted - see earlier stories about how I recovered it from a demolition yard where it had been sitting languishing in the weather for a number of years.
The door is installed perfectly now after he managed to whip every thing in to square.
The only downside was that we discovered that the door is mdf. I didn't know until Peter drilled out the holes for mounting the door lock.
This means that I need to keep the door wrapped in plastic until I have a chance to build the bull nosed veranda.
